One example of our past interactions with the USDA is the development of a value-added fruit and vegetable bar. Through this program, HR Mtn. Sun, Inc. has recently gained a great deal of global attention. This bar is not only sought after but it is also easy to make and very nutritious, making it the perfect project for developing countries or large global corporations. The bar has already seen a great deal of success in the United States and is foreseen to show a great deal of success off-shores as well.

Resource development for raw products utilized in the development of a bar of this nature involves imperfect fruits or vegetables. This will allow for the horticultural cost to be significantly less, because utilizations of items not previously viewed as useable become a now marketable product. An example is less thinning of trees for market grade fruits, allowing for an increase in useable yield and higher turnover to the farm.

The development of this project requires minimal costs associated with facility and equipment. The amount of equipment is also minimized, making this project a feasible low cost alternative.
