| IAC Represented at the 2003 Ministerial Expo and Conference on Agricultural Science and Technology |
| Hood River, Oregon - HR Mtn. Sun, Inc., affiliate
partner with the IAC, attended the 2003 Ministerial Expo and Conference
on Agricultural Science and Technology, held in Sacramento, CA, June 23-25.
This first conference of its type was hosted by US Secretary of Agriculture,
Ann Venemen, and the US Department of Agriculture. One primary goal of this
conference was to present emerging technologies in the agriculture arena
to Agricultural Ministers from over 150 countries around the world. Approximately
35 agricultural, scientific and technology-based businesses and agencies
from around the nation were invited to display their services and products
at the Expo. In total, nearly 1200 people were in attendance.
Ron Wherry, President and Owner of HR Mtn. Sun, Inc., had the opportunity to showcase the important work we are doing in cooperation with the IAC, to promote and develop Native American made products for the Tribes of America. Expo attendees expressed great interest in the types of products available, most notably the Native chunky tomato salsa provided by Bara Buffalo-Hide of the Blackfoot Tribe in Montana. Attendees were delighted to receive one of the beautiful silver key chains provided as gifts by the IAC. HR Mtn. Sun estimates we had direct contact with agricultural leaders from over 50 nations, and are busily following up with these contacts. We look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with the Tribes of the IAC, and to help you take advantage of opportunities to develop and sell your Native Made products both domestically and around the world.
